Dear friends and community partners:

The Muslim Community Consultative Committee is a group of Toronto Police Service representatives and dedicated community leaders that are reflective of the Muslim communities throughout the City of Toronto. The goal of the committee is to serve as a voice on policing issues such as training, recruiting, customer service and community outreach and mobilization.

On Friday November 18, 2016, the Muslim Community Consultative Committee will be hosting an event to celebrate Islamic Heritage Month.

Islamic Heritage Month is an annual month-long series of free educational public programs commemorating Islamic heritage, culture, and civilization.

The event will be held at the Toronto Police College, 70 Birmingham Street, Toronto and will commence at 6:00pm. Refreshments will be provided along with cultural entertainment and an informal reception.

This event will be a great opportunity to mingle with other members of the Islamic Community, as well as Chief Mark Saunders and Senior Officers from the Toronto Police Service.

Please extend our invitation to staff members of your office and to your media representatives.
